SANTA MARIA – The Clovis Community College men's soccer team opened the 2025 season with a tough 3-1 loss at Allan Hancock College on Friday.
The Crush faced an uphill battle as they trailed 2-0 at halftime.
The score remained 2-0 until late in the contest. Freshman Daniel Perez broke free in the 82nd minute to knock in Clovis' first goal of the season and cut Allan Hancock's lead in half. But the Bulldogs responded with a final goal in the 85th minute to secure their victory.
Sophomore Vik Singh took the loss in goal for the Crush despite coming up with 4 saves in the contest.
Clovis, now 0-1, will look to earn its first win next Friday (Aug. 29) when the Crush host Cañada College in its home opener. Kick off is set for 4 p.m.
