Crush earn four All-American honors with top-8 finishes at State Championships
SANTA ROSA – An impressive 2025 Clovis Community College swim & dive season came to a close on Saturday at the 3C2A State Championships. The three-day event was hosted by Santa Rosa Junior College.
The Crush qualified for five events at the state championships and came away with top-10 showings in all five events while earning All-American honors in four.
Leading a trio of Clovis divers was Ethan Rij. He earned All-American honors in the both the 3-meter and 1-meter dive events. He earned a bronze medal in the 3-meter dive, posting a score of 224.50 points to finish in third place. Rij just missed out on another bronze, but finished fourth in the 1-meter event with a score of 220.15.
Emma Prince brough home All-American honors in the women's 3-meter dive, taking sixth with her score of 177.55 points. Also for the Crush, Central Valley Conference champion Scarlette Martinez ended in eighth place at the state championships for All-American status in the 1-meter dive. She totaled 186.35 points.
Rounding out the Crush results at the state championships was Braylon Radford in the 100 freestyle. He finished 10th overall with a time of 47.22.
The Crush swim & dive program continues to achieve new heights each season under the leadership of head coach Shawn Jones and assistant coaches John Devere, Rachelle Kunkel, and Mary Margaret-Tan.
