CLOVIS – The 2025 Clovis Community College women's soccer season got off to a rough start as the Crush suffered a 2-0 loss to visiting West Valley College on Tuesday.
The Clovis offense put together a solid effort and tallied five shots on goal. But the Crush couldn't find the back of the net and were held scoreless.
Freshman Milani Gutierrez took the loss in goal for the Crush despite earning five saves.
West Valley scored in the 16th minute and iced its victory with its final goal in the 47th.
Clovis will look to earn its first win when the Crush return to action on Tuesday (Sep. 2). The squad is headed to Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
