MERCED – Sophomore Abby Ochoa recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals for the Clovis Crush in a 3-3 draw at Merced College on Friday.
With the tie, Clovis moved to 0-5-2 overall and 0-1-2 in Central Valley Conference play.
Ochoa knocked in first-half goals in the 25th and 38th minutes. Her third goal of the contest came in the 60th minute and gave the Crush a 3-2 lead. But it didn't last as Merced scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute to steal a possible win from the Crush.
Clovis will look to earn its first win on Tuesday (Sep. 30) at 4 p.m. when the Crush host College of the Sequoias in a Central Valley Conference game.
