Crush Earn First-Ever Women’s Volleyball Playoff Bid
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONALS BRACKET
A historic Clovis Crush women's volleyball season will now head to the postseason. In just the program's first year of competition, the Crush have been selected to compete in the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
On Tuesday, Clovis received the No. 18 seed for the playoffs and will head to No. 15 Solano College in Fairfield for an opening-round regional match on Saturday (Nov. 22) at 5 p.m.
Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason match are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. For fans unable to make the nearly 200-mile drive, the match will be streamed live online for free at the Solano Athletics Hudl channel.
Head coach Mark Rosen's launch of the Crush women's volleyball program has already exceeded expectations. Clovis closed out the regular season last week with a winning record at 14-9 overall and finished in second place in the final Central Valley Conference North Division standings at 6-2.
No. 15 Solano enters the postseason with a 21-11 overall record and was champions of the Bay Valley Conference with a perfect 12-0 mark. But Solano has a 12-6 record at home this season. The Falcons are led by head coach Darla Williams.
Clovis and Solano will be meeting for the first time in program history. The winner of Saturday's contest advances to a second-round playoff match at No. 2 Taft College (28-2) on Tuesday (Nov. 25).
Three wins are needed by the Crush to advance to the 2025 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 5-7 at Folsom Lake College in Folsom.
